Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
Slice each glazed donut in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.
Butter the outer sides of each donut half with 1 tablespoon of butter.
Place two donut halves, buttered side down, in the skillet.
Layer two slices of cheddar cheese on each donut half in the skillet.
Add two slices of bacon on top of the cheese for each sandwich.
Top with the remaining donut halves, buttered side up.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
Remove from the skillet and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
