Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven's broiler to high. Gather your ingredients and arrange them on a clean workspace for easy access.
  2. Place two slices of sourdough bread on a baking sheet and toast under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, until lightly browned.
  3. Flip the toasted bread over and layer sharp cheddar cheese on one slice. Return to the broiler for another 1-2 minutes until melted.
  4. Top the melted cheddar with pickled jalapeños, spreading them evenly.
  5. On the other slice, spread grainy Dijon mustard, drizzle honey, and layer honeycrisp apple, red onion, and arugula.
  6. Add a handful of kettle potato chips on top of the apple and arugula layer.
  7. Place the cheese-topped slice over the other slice, press down gently, and slice into halves or quarters.
