Step-by-Step Instructions
- In your slow cooker, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and minced garlic. Whisk these ingredients together until fully blended.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little water until it forms a smooth paste. Gradually add this mixture to the teriyaki sauce in the slow cooker.
- Place the boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts) into the slow cooker, ensuring they are well-coated with the teriyaki sauce.
- Set your slow cooker to high heat and let the chicken cook for 2½ to 3 hours, or on low heat for 3 to 5 hours.
- Once the chicken is cooked, carefully remove it from the slow cooker and set aside. Switch the cooker to high heat, then toss in the broccoli florets.
- In a small bowl, combine yogurt, mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to prepare the optional Bang Bang sauce.
- Shred or slice the cooked chicken, then mix it back into the teriyaki sauce and broccoli, and serve hot over rice.
