Dough
  • 1 lb Frozen Bread Dough Thawed; can use homemade pizza dough.
Glaze
  • 1-2 tbsp 2% Milk For brushing on for a golden sheen.
  • 1 tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese Optional but recommended.
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning Optional enhancement for flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped pepperoni, pasta sauce, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, divide the thawed frozen bread dough into four equal portions and roll each into a 6-inch circle.
  4. Spoon about a scant 1/3 cup of the pepperoni filling onto one half of each dough circle.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Place sealed calzones on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the calzones with milk and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, if desired.
  8. Bake the calzones for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
