Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by placing the ribeye steak in the freezer for about 30 minutes until it firms up, making it easier to slice thinly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, minced ginger, brown sugar, rice wine, minced garlic, black pepper, grated apple, and toasted sesame oil. Add the sliced ribeye and marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over high heat add oil. Add marinated steak strips, cooking for about 4-5 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Lower heat slightly, add more oil if needed, then sauté the red and yellow bell peppers for 2-3 minutes until tender.
  5. Butter one side of each slice of bread, layer with sautéed bell peppers, cooked steak, cheese, red onion, jalapenos, and spring onions. Top with another slice of bread butter-side up.
  6. Toast the sandwich in the skillet over medium-low heat for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Mix mayonnaise with minced garlic until combined. Drizzle garlic mayo and sweet chili sauce inside the sandwich just before serving.
