  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pot over medium heat until bubbling but not browned.
  2. Add 2 diced carrots and 2 chopped celery stalks, seasoning with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
