  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch or arrowroot powder as an alternative
  • 20 pieces Dumpling Wrappers opt for gluten-free if necessary

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Spice Mix: Pound coriander roots, black peppercorns, and garlic until a coarse paste forms, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Mix Sauce: Combine Golden Mountain sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and oyster sauce in a bowl, whisk until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  3. Blend Filling: In a food processor, blend ground pork, sauce mixture, egg, and cornstarch until creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Combine Filling: Transfer filling to a bowl, fold in spice blend, carrots, green onions, and shiitake mushrooms, mix well, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Shape Dumplings: Place filling in center of a wrapper, moisten edges, pinch to seal, repeat for all wrappers.
  6. Steam Dumplings: Line a steamer with parchment, steam dumplings over simmering water for 10 minutes until wrappers are translucent.
