Method
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sausage patty and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, crack the egg and cook it sunny-side up or to your desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper.
- While the egg is cooking, place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the sausage patty to let it melt slightly.
- Assemble the muffin by placing the sausage patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the toasted English muffin. Top with the cooked egg and then place the other half of the muffin on top.
- Serve immediately while warm.
