Equipment

  • large pitcher
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Spoon for muddling

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pitcher, pour in 4 cups of cold water. Add 4 green tea bags or 2 tablespoons of loose leaf green tea along with a handful of fresh mint leaves. Stir gently to mix everything together.
  2. Slice 2 ripe kiwis, and gently add them to the pitcher. Muddle a few kiwi slices with a wooden spoon to release their juicy essence.
  3. Incorporate honey or your favorite sweetener at this stage, adjusting according to your taste preferences. Stir the mixture well to ensure that the sweetener dissolves completely.
  4. Cover the pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap, then place it in the refrigerator to steep. Allow it to infuse for 6-8 hours, or preferably overnight.
  5. Once the infusion time has elapsed, carefully remove the pitcher from the fridge. Use a fine mesh strainer to strain out the tea bags, mint leaves, and kiwi slices.
  6. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the cold brew over the top. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and kiwi slices.

Notes

Store leftover cold brew in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, pour the unstrained cold brew into ice cube trays and freeze.
