  • Ice Use frozen tea or mango juice cubes to maintain flavor

Equipment

  • Kettle
  • Pitcher
  • Saucepan
  • Strainer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a kettle. Once boiling, pour the water into a large pitcher and add your black tea bags or loose leaf tea. Let the tea steep for about 10 minutes until it reaches a rich amber color.
  2. While the tea is steeping, grab a saucepan and add the remaining 2 cups of water along with diced ripe mango. Heat over medium-high heat until it begins to boil. Then, reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes, mashing the mango as it cooks.
  3. Once both your tea and mango puree are ready, carefully strain the mango puree into the pitcher containing the brewed tea. Add the honey to the mixture, stirring gently until fully dissolved.
  4. Allow the Mango Iced Tea to cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Once cooled, fill glasses with ice and pour in the Mango Iced Tea, garnishing each glass with additional mango slices.

Notes

For a bolder flavor, steep tea longer. Ensure mango is ripe for maximum sweetness. Store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
