- Harvest and rinse dandelions thoroughly under cool running water.
- Boil 4 cups of water in a kettle until it reaches a rolling boil.
- In a 1-gallon container, combine the rinsed dandelions and tea bags. Pour in the boiling water until about 1/3 full.
- Cover the container and steep for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Strain out the dandelions and tea bags using a fine mesh strainer.
- Sweeten the tea with sugar or honey while it’s still warm and then dilute with cold water to taste. Refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice, garnished with a slice of lemon or mint if desired.
