Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup red and blue M&M's or any red, white, and blue candy
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the red and blue M&M's and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cookie bars to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
