Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Divide the dough into three equal portions; leave one plain, color the second with red food coloring, and the third with blue food coloring.
Wrap each portion in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of each color and roll them into balls.
Roll each ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
