Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce sugar-free, if desired

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, grated Parmesan cheese, almond flour, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them topped with the marinara sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
