For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Butter for richness
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese for creaminess
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese omit for dairy-free
  • Salt & Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Basil chopped

Equipment

  • nonstick skillet

Method

Marry Me Salmon Instructions
  1. Begin by drizzling olive oil over the salmon filets, ensuring they're evenly coated. Sprinkle your preferred seasonings—a mix of salt and pepper works well—over both sides. Allow the salmon to marinate for approximately 10 minutes while you prepare the cooking surface.
  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil. Once the oil shimmers, carefully place the marinated salmon filets into the pan. Sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust and are cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat slightly and add butter. Allow it to melt before adding minced garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, followed by lemon juice, cream cheese, and parmesan. Stir and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Stir in freshly chopped parsley and basil. Return the seared salmon filets back into the pan, spooning the creamy sauce over them. Let everything cook together for a minute to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Carefully transfer the Marry Me Salmon to serving plates, drizzling with extra sauce. Serve hot, ideally with asparagus, rice, or a salad.
