Step-by-Step Instructions for Bourbon Peach Pecan Dip
- In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add ½ cup of chopped onion and sauté for about 8 minutes until softened.
- Remove skillet from heat and stir in ¼ cup of bourbon, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ cup of cola, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, ½ teaspoon of chipotle chili powder, and 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar. Mix well.
- Return skillet to medium heat and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in 3 peeled and diced peaches, 4 slices of crumbled cooked bacon, and ½ cup of chopped pecans. Simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Spread 8 ounces of softened cream cheese in an 8-inch pie plate. Spoon the warm peach mixture over the cream cheese.
- Garnish with reserved crumbled bacon and chopped pecans. Serve warm with crackers or French bread.

Notes
Allow cream cheese to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes for easy spreading. Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
