Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Can substitute with ground pork, chicken, or beef, but note that these may have higher fat content.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Essential for authentic taste; do not skip.
  • 1 cup Dry Bread Crumbs Panko breadcrumbs recommended for extra crispiness and texture.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger Can use fresh ginger for more brightness if desired.
  • 1 Eggs Ensure eggs are beaten lightly before incorporating.
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic Fresh garlic is preferable for robust taste.
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce Key ingredient for the sticky texture; do not substitute with BBQ sauce or ketchup.

  • 2 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup can be an alternative for a different flavor profile.
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic Use fresh garlic for the best results.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce Regular soy sauce can be used but reduce additional salt in the recipe.
