Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add the warm water, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. After resting, divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
  6. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten it into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  8. Once the oil is hot, carefully place one piece of dough into the oil.
  9. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  10. Remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  11. Serve warm with your favorite toppings or dips.
