- Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C), placing a pizza stone or a baking sheet inside to heat for 30 minutes. Dust a clean surface with flour or cornmeal, then roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a piece of parchment paper. Spread a layer of tomato sauce on top, leaving a ½-inch border. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the pepperoni slices. Dollop ricotta cheese around the pizza.
- Slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 8-12 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Drizzle hot honey over the pizza after it comes out of the oven. Add fresh basil and sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired. Slice the pizza and serve hot.
