Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C), placing a pizza stone or a baking sheet inside to heat for 30 minutes. Dust a clean surface with flour or cornmeal, then roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round.
  2. Transfer the rolled dough to a piece of parchment paper. Spread a layer of tomato sauce on top, leaving a ½-inch border. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the pepperoni slices. Dollop ricotta cheese around the pizza.
  3. Slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 8-12 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  4. Drizzle hot honey over the pizza after it comes out of the oven. Add fresh basil and sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired. Slice the pizza and serve hot.
