  • 1 pinch Ground Turmeric Natural color enhancer
For the Creaminess
  • 2 tablespoons Sweetened Condensed Milk Secret to creamy finish
  • 2 tablespoons Evaporated Milk Adds richness

Equipment

  • Medium-sized pot
  • fine mesh sieve
  • Heat-safe pitcher
  • whisk

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium-sized pot, combine 4 black tea bags with 4 cups of filtered water. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 star anise, 4 whole cardamom pods, and 1 cinnamon stick for aromatic flavor. For added depth, include a split vanilla bean and a pinch of ground turmeric. Stir gently to blend.
  2. Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Once simmering, reduce to low and allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Carefully remove the pot from heat. Using a fine-mesh sieve, strain the tea mixture into a heat-safe pitcher, discarding the tea bags and spices.
  4. Fill two tall glasses with ice and pour the freshly strained tea over the ice, filling each glass approximately three-quarters full.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk and 2 tablespoons of evaporated milk until smooth.
  6. Pour the sweetened milk mixture over the iced tea, allowing it to swirl beautifully, creating an enticing ombré effect. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Customize with sweetness to suit your taste. Store leftover brewed tea in the fridge for up to 7 days.
