  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 cup Beef Broth or Water
Optional Toppings
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika for sprinkling
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs like parsley or chives

Method
 

Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Cook ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until the onion is soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Spread the beef mixture in the baking dish, layer sliced potatoes on top, and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and parmesan cheese over the potatoes.
  6. Pour beef broth around the edges of the baking dish and optionally drizzle milk on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
