Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves or ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Start by seasoning the steak pieces generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and thyme. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce for about 1-2 minutes to coat.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.
