Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9x12 inch casserole dish with avocado oil.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and ½ teaspoon of kosher salt, sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high and add 1 pound of ground turkey. Stir until fully browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Stir in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, frozen mixed vegetables, riced cauliflower, and ½ cup of milk. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Combine 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 1 cup of chicken broth, whisk until smooth, and pour into the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Adjust seasoning with more kosher salt and ground pepper as needed.
  7. Spread the turkey mixture in the casserole dish, sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and top with frozen tater tots.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until tater tots are crispy and golden. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
