Tzatziki Sauce Preparation
- Draining the grated Persian cucumbers using paper towels to remove excess moisture. In a medium bowl, combine the drained cucumbers with Greek yogurt, fresh dill, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and cover. Refrigerate while preparing meatballs.
Meatball Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, minced onion, crumbled feta, minced garlic, egg, dried herbs and spices. Mix gently.
- Form mixture into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet. Optionally, brown in a skillet for enhanced flavor.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven, let rest, and serve with tzatziki sauce and lemon wedges.
