Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by heating water to 200°F (93°C) in a kettle. Steep 1 cup of your chosen tea for about 3-5 minutes. Remove tea bag or leaves and let cool slightly.
- Prepare the cherry mixture by blending fresh cherries until smooth or warming cherry juice in a saucepan for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix the brewed tea with the cherry puree or warmed cherry juice in a bowl or pitcher. Stir well to combine.
- Heat 1 cup of milk (or plant-based alternative) in a saucepan until warm, reaching around 150°F (65°C). Froth the milk until it doubles in volume.
- Pour the tea and cherry mixture into a mug for hot lattes or onto ice cubes for iced versions. Top with frothed milk.
- Garnish the drink with whipped cream, cinnamon, or cherry syrup if desired. Serve immediately.
