Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes about 1.5 pounds
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 4 wedges, creating a total of 16 wedges.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Spread the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overcrowded for even cooking.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
