Ingredients

For the Drink
  • 1 medium Coconut Fresh for best flavor
  • 1 cup Coconut Water Fresh preferred
  • 4 cups Cold Water Divided
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk Can substitute with non-dairy
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk Coconut milk can be used instead
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Ice Crushed ice for texture

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Measuring cups
  • Pitcher

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Coconut Cooler
  1. Start by carefully opening the medium coconut to extract the refreshing water. Use a corkscrew or a sharp paring knife to create a hole in the top. Once the water is poured out, use the knife to halve the coconut. Scoop out the coconut meat and chop it into small pieces, ready for blending, while enjoying the fragrant tropical aroma.
  2. In a blender, combine the chopped coconut meat, coconut water, 4 cups of cold water, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and a splash of pure vanilla extract. Blend on high speed for about 1-2 minutes, or until all ingredients are smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour half of the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, allowing the liquid to flow through while catching any larger coconut pieces.
  4. Stir in the remaining 4 cups of cold water into the strained mixture in the pitcher.
  5. Pour the Coconut Cooler into tall glasses filled with ice.
  6. To elevate your Coconut Cooler, consider garnishing with coconut slices, fresh mint leaves, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for added flair.

Notes

For maximum refreshment, allow the drink to chill for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator before serving. Keep in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or freeze for later use.
