Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together ½ cup of butter and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract; beat until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1.5 cups of flour, 1 cup of oats, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, ¼ teaspoon of cloves, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.

  6. Drop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets and lightly flatten each mound.
