- Start by laying out your slices of soft white bread. If you prefer a crispy texture, preheat your toaster to medium and toast the bread until golden brown, roughly 2-3 minutes.
- Wash your ripe tomatoes thoroughly under cold water. Slice them into thick rounds, about ½ inch each, and place the sliced tomatoes onto a paper towel to absorb excess moisture.
- Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread, aiming for at least 1-2 tablespoons per side.
