Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil to coat the surface.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side. Let any excess drip off.
  4. Place the soaked bread slices onto the hot skillet or griddle. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the cooked French toast from the skillet and keep warm in a low oven if needed.
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top and a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
