- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat 1/2 cup softened butter and 3/4 cup sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add in 2 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, and then mix in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture and 1/2 cup buttermilk to the butter mixture, alternating between the two.
- In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then top with remaining batter and swirl with the rest of the mixture.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
