Ingredients
  

For the Bread
  • 3 medium Ripe Bananas Use overripe for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter Can substitute with unsalted.
  • 1 cup White Sugar Brown sugar can substitute.
  • 1 large Large Egg
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Can replace with gluten-free blend.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Omit if using salted butter.
For the Cinnamon Swirl
  • 1/4 cup Melted Butter Can swap with oil.
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened.
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Pure vanilla gives best results.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened salted butter and white sugar for 3 to 5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add a large egg and mashed bananas to the butter-sugar mixture and blend until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar until combined to create the cinnamon swirl.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture, add remaining batter, and top with the rest of the cinnamon swirl.
  7. Gently swirl the batter and cinnamon mixture with a knife for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Prepare the cream cheese frosting by combining softened cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  11. Once the bread is cool, spread the cream cheese frosting generously over the top.
  12. Slice and serve with a hot beverage of your choice.
