Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the ghee over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Toss in chopped red onion and sauté for 2 minutes, then add chopped green chilli and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Lower heat, stir in garam masala and turmeric. Mix in the drained baked beans, letting them simmer for 2 minutes. Add water if the mixture is too thick.
  4. Toast the bread until golden brown and crispy, then spread the Cheesy Masala Beans mixture on each slice.
  5. Preheat your grill (broiler) on high, cover each slice with grated Cheddar and Red Leicester cheese, and grill for about 3-5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  6. Carefully remove the toasts from the grill, slice into triangles, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve immediately.
