Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and place a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Add avocado oil to the pan and sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the thighs, add garlic, yellow onion, rosemary, thyme, and apple slices around them.
  5. In a bowl, mix apple cider, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ginger, and nutmeg until well blended.
  6. Pour the glaze over the chicken and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and glazed.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving, garnishing with fresh herbs if desired.
