Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup pickles chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 8 ounces cooked macaroni pasta

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, beef mixture, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. While the casserole is baking, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl to create the special sauce.
  9. Once the casserole is done, let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  10. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles, and drizzle with the special sauce before serving.
