- 2 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 1 lime, juiced
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- In a large bowl, combine fish sauce, soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, five-spice powder, and lime juice. Whisk until well blended.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Place the marinated chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, skin side up.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Serve with steamed jasmine rice and a side of pickled vegetables for a complete meal.
