- 2 glazed donuts
- 4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of cooked bacon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Maple syrup for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Slice each glazed donut in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.
- Butter the outer sides of each donut half with 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Place two donut halves, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Layer two slices of cheddar cheese on each donut half in the skillet.
- Add two slices of bacon on top of the cheese for each sandwich.
- Top with the remaining donut halves, buttered side up.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
- Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the skillet and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.

- For a twist, try using different types of cheese like pepper jack for a spicy kick.
- Add sliced strawberries inside for a fruity flavor.
- Substitute bacon with crispy turkey bacon or a plant-based alternative for a lighter version.
