Spinach and Ricotta Rolls are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package (10 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. On a clean surface, lay out each triangle with the wide end facing you.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of the spinach and cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end to the point, enclosing the filling.
- Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For a healthier option, use whole wheat crescent roll dough.
- Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes or olives to the filling for extra flavor.
