Description
A healthy and delicious recipe for Parmesan Turkey Meatballs, perfect for a nutritious meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 cup marinara sauce (sugar-free, if desired)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, grated Parmesan cheese, almond flour, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
- Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them topped with the marinara sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For added flavor, try mixing in some chopped spinach or finely diced bell peppers into the meatball mixture.
- To make these meatballs even more convenient, you can freeze them after baking. Just thaw and reheat when ready to serve.
