Description

Paris Mash is a creamy potato delight made with Yukon Gold potatoes, butter, and milk, perfect as a side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a generous pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  3. Add the butter, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
  4. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or a ricer until smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the chopped chives if using, and adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Serve warm as a delicious side dish.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, substitute half of the milk with sour cream or cream cheese.
  • Add grated cheese, such as cheddar or Parmesan, for extra flavor and richness.
