Description

Mini McGriddle Bites are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast treat that combines fluffy pancakes with savory sausage and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter, then mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the cooked sausage and shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bites to cool for a few minutes before removing them from the tin. Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter version, add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to the dry ingredients.
  • Substitute the sausage with cooked bacon or turkey bacon for a different flavor profile.
