Description
Honey Gochujang Chicken Wings are a flavorful delight, combining the sweetness of honey with the spicy kick of gochujang, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Remove the wings from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook the wings in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the air fryer and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra crunch, you can toss the wings in a little cornstarch before marinating.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of gochujang or mix in some ketchup to balance the heat.
