Description

Garlic Grilled Shrimp Skewers are a delicious and easy-to-make dish, perfect for summer grilling or a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and parsley. Mix well.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, about 5-6 shrimp per skewer.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve immediately with extra lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Serve the skewers over a bed of rice or alongside a fresh salad for a complete meal.
