A simple and delicious Dump and Bake Chicken Parmesan recipe that combines chicken, pasta, and cheese in a single dish.

- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup uncooked penne pasta
- 2 cups water
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the marinara sauce evenly across the bottom.
- Place the chicken breasts on top of the marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper over the chicken.
- Add the uncooked penne pasta evenly around the chicken in the baking dish.
- Pour 2 cups of water over the pasta and chicken. Do not stir.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and carefully stir the pasta.
- Top the chicken with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- For a healthier version, substitute whole wheat pasta and low-fat cheese.
- Add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers to the dish for extra nutrition and flavor.
