Description
A delicious recipe for crispy seasoned oven-baked potato wedges that are easy to make and perfect as a side dish or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes (about 1.5 pounds)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 4 wedges, creating a total of 16 wedges.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Spread the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overcrowded for even cooking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a cheesy twist, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the wedges during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- For a healthier option, use sweet potatoes instead of russet potatoes for a different flavor and added nutrients.
