Description
Delicious chocolate chip cookies with a creamy cheesecake twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
- Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the mixture, and beat until well combined.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of almond extract in place of vanilla.
- You can also substitute half of the chocolate chips with chopped nuts or dried fruit for added texture and flavor.
