Description

A quick and flavorful Chicken Parmesan Pasta recipe that combines tender chicken, marinara sauce, and cheesy goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
  3. Pour the marinara sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the pasta mixture. Cover the skillet and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a healthier twist, substitute whole wheat pasta or zucchini noodles for the penne.
  • Add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms to the dish for extra flavor and nutrition.
