- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the shredded mozzarella cheese and stir until evenly distributed.
- Pour in the milk and melted butter, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute until smooth.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into strips or desired shapes.
- Place the breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- In a small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the breadsticks.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a cheesy twist, add extra shredded cheese on top before baking.
- Experiment with different herbs like oregano or basil for added flavor.
