A delicious and easy recipe for breakfast pizza using English muffins as the base, topped with eggs, cheese, and your favorite breakfast ingredients.

- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 4 English muffins, split in half
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the split English muffins on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- Spread about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on each muffin half.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce on each muffin.
- In a skillet, cook the eggs sunny-side up or scrambled, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- While the eggs are cooking, sprinkle the cooked sausage, bell peppers, and black olives over the cheese on each muffin.
- Once the eggs are ready, place one egg on top of each muffin half.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top of each muffin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the sausage and add more vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
- Try using different types of cheese, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for a unique flavor twist.
