Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup pickles, chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 8 ounces cooked macaroni pasta
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, beef mixture, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- While the casserole is baking, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl to create the special sauce.
- Once the casserole is done, let it cool for about 5 minutes.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles, and drizzle with the special sauce before serving.
Notes
- For a healthier twist, substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- You can also add a layer of sliced avocado on top for extra creaminess and flavor.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
